Are VM Hosted Apps on Citrix XenApp 5.0 FP2 Viable?

The new VM hosted apps functionality provided by Citrix XenApp 5.0 in Feature Pack 2 (FP2) allows applications to be hosted on separate machines and then accessed remotely. The VM (Virtual Machine) used in the title of this technology is slightly misleading as the applications don’t necessarily need to be hosted on virtual machines as physical machines will suffice, as long as they are running a single-user Windows operating system such as Windows XP and have a compatible agent, called a Virtual Desktop Agent (VDA).
